Avoriaz is one of the 12 resorts in the Portes du Soleil ski area.
• The Avoriaz ski area boasts 34 ski lifts and 75 km of slopes
• The Portes du Soleil ski area boasts 197 ski lifts and 650 km of slopes
Avoriaz's central location makes it easy to reach other Portes du Soleil resorts and enjoy a vast skiing area.
See the map showing the boundaries of the two ski areas.
The ski pass offered for the Avoriaz ski area is only available for 5 hours, 1 day, or 2 days.
If you wish to purchase a longer pass, only the Portes du Soleil ski pass will be offered.
The "hands-free" card is the cardholder for your ski pass. It looks like a bank card. It contains an electronic chip that allows you to activate the ski lift access gate without removing it from your pocket.
This chip also allows you to top up your ski pass online using the number printed on it > View a hands-free card and identify its number.
Purchasing the "hands-free" card for €3 is mandatory for your first ski pass purchase. It is non-refundable but can be reused for several years. Please note: if your card is obsolete (old card, card with a duplicate serial number, etc.), you will have to replace it at your own expense.
3 advantages:
Practical : no risk of loss or damage because this card stays in your pocket (do not place it with your cell phone, a pocket ashtray, another "hands-free" device, your keys, your bank card, or any metal object).
Eco-friendly : it can be used season after season.
Economical : you can top up your passes online without picking them up at the checkout, saving you valuable time. And you'll earn Soleils, which will earn you a free day.
Card number :
In online sales, when you are asked for a card number when choosing your plan, this is the number of your hands-free card that supports your plan (and not your bank card number). > View a hands-free card and identify its number.
The ski pass is free for children under 5, but the "hands-free" pass, which costs €3, is mandatory.
Proof of marital status will be required to obtain it.
This pass can be purchased online or at the ski lift ticket offices. However, it is not available at automatic ticket machines.
Children receiving this type of free pass must be accompanied by an adult with a valid ski pass.
The specific "sNOwRISK" insurance is offered with the purchase of your winter ski pass to cover you against risks incurred in the ski area.
It costs €3.50 per day and €28 for stays beyond 8 days (limited to 15 days).
The insurance duration must be identical to that of the ski pass to which it relates. For example: 6-day ski pass = 6-day insurance.
This insurance can be purchased online or at the ski lift ticket offices.
In the online sales process, insurance is offered after choosing your ski pass, when entering the skier's information (last name, first name, etc.).
Simply click the "yes" button to benefit from it.
A photo is required for any package lasting more than 8 days.
For online purchases, the photo must be uploaded when ordering.
A good-quality photo of your face, taken from the front, without a hat, sunglasses, or other accessories. (Accepted file extensions: 'png', 'jpg', 'jpeg').
For purchases at the checkout, the photo is scanned or taken with our cashier's webcam.
Empty your cart :
Click on the "My Cart" icon.
Click on the "Empty Cart" button.
Confirm the deletion of your cart by clicking "OK."
Delete a ski pass :

Various payment methods are available, depending on your purchase option:
Online purchases on this website > bank cards – American Express – Chèques Vacances Connect,
Purchases at ski lift ticket offices > cash, bank cards, checks (ID required), holiday vouchers,
Purchases at terminals > bank cards only (except American Express).
Proceed with your regular package order: select your package and place your order.
In your order summary, enter a coupon or promotional code and click the "Validate coupon or code" button.
Your discounted price will automatically be applied to your cart.
If your credit card order has been interrupted or your payment has not been validated by your financial institution, your account will not be debited, but your order will be canceled.
In this case, we invite you to repeat your purchase or contact your bank if the problem persists.
