Avoriaz is one of the 12 resorts in the Portes du Soleil ski area.
• The Avoriaz ski area boasts 34 ski lifts and 75 km of slopes
• The Portes du Soleil ski area boasts 197 ski lifts and 650 km of slopes
Avoriaz's central location makes it easy to reach other Portes du Soleil resorts and enjoy a vast skiing area.
See the map showing the boundaries of the two ski areas.
The ski pass offered for the Avoriaz ski area is only available for 5 hours, 1 day, or 2 days.
If you wish to purchase a longer pass, only the Portes du Soleil ski pass will be offered.
The "hands-free" card is the cardholder for your ski pass. It looks like a bank card. It contains an electronic chip that allows you to activate the ski lift access gate without removing it from your pocket.
This chip also allows you to top up your ski pass online using the number printed on it.
Purchasing the "hands-free" card for €3 is mandatory for your first ski pass purchase. It is non-refundable but can be reused for several years. Please note: if your card is obsolete (old card, card with a duplicate serial number, etc.), you will have to replace it at your own expense.
3 advantages:
Practical : no risk of loss or damage because this card stays in your pocket (do not place it with your cell phone, a pocket ashtray, another "hands-free" device, your keys, your bank card, or any metal object).
Eco-friendly : it can be used season after season.
Economical : you can top up your passes online without picking them up at the checkout, saving you valuable time. And you'll earn Soleils, which will earn you a free day.
Card number :
In online sales, when you are asked for a card number when choosing your plan, this is the number of your hands-free card that supports your plan (and not your bank card number). Identify its number. This number does not contain the letter O, but rather the number 0.
What information is stored on my hands-free badge?
By entering your WTP number here : https://shop.skipass-avoriaz.com/en/checkvalidities , you can view the active services on your card.
The ski pass is free for children under 5, but the "hands-free" card, which costs €3, is mandatory.
Proof of marital status will be required to obtain it.
This pass is only avaialable at the ski lift ticket offices.
Children receiving this type of free pass must be accompanied by an adult with a valid ski pass.
