The trails are classified by colour, from the most accessible to the most challenging.
Flat terrain, a few cool obstacles, just what you need to build your confidence before tackling the descents.
More rugged routes, always machine-made, with tighter bends, more gradients and a few obstacles to spice up the ride.
Steep, challenging, technical routes with rocks, roots and jumps. Shaped by machine (flow trail) or by hand
(tech trail) these trails are reserved for experienced riders who have mastered the art of riding on steep slopes and uneven terrain.
Some very steep, very technical stuff on these tracks, hand-crafted by our shapers. A warm-up on the blue and red runs is highly recommended before tackling them.
There are workarounds, but they are still at expert level. No cheating, just committed riding.
Avoriaz Bikepark's progression scale makes it easy to understand. The trails are classified by level, from the easiest to the most challenging, with a distinction made between flow trails (shaped by machine) and tech trails (shaped by hand). You choose the terrain you want to play on and work your way up in confidence. Simple, logical and effective.
