Sales and use:

Ski passes are available online on condition you are in possession of a SKI CARD i.e. a “free hands” smart card on which an identification number WTP is mentioned.

The SKI CARD can be purchased: (3 €)
     -  when purchasing your first card online
     -  from SERMA ski passes sales booths
     -  by mailing SERMA a payable cheque

At your first ski pass purchase, you will be addressed your personal SKI CARD ready for use.

Owners of a SKI CARD can refill it online by entering the WTP number. The refilling must be done at least one day before use. It is advised to print a receipt mentioning details of the transaction, as a proof in case a problem might occur.

Your ski pass is automatically validated at your first passage through the turnstile checkpoint set at the departure of any ski lift in the Avoriaz ski area.

All ski passes for Avoriaz and Portes du Soleil ski areas must be validated at a ski lift within Avoriaz ski area.

When passing through a checkpoint equipped with a photo I.D. check, details of the pass will appear on the screen.

At all other ski lifts, the validity of a pass will be checked via the receipt printed when purchasing the pass.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I refill a “hands Free” card purchased from ski lift pass sales offices?

No, only “Hands Free” cards purchased online are refillable. For a card to be refillable it must be marked “VENTE INTERNET” and more particularly a WTP number (mandatory for refilling).

What is a WTP number?

The WTP number is at the bottom of your SKI CARD. This number is necessary to refill your SKI CARD.

Do you have a family and/or student tariff?

No, there are no specific tariffs for families or students, but the child tariff is for the under 16s

Can I purchase a ski-pass for 3 days and over for the Avoriaz ski area?

No, The maximum duration for an Avoviaz Ski-pass is 2 days.

Can I use the Prodains cable car with an Avoriaz or Portes du Soleil ski-pass?

Yes, access to the cable car is included in the price of Avoriaz and Portes du Soleil passes.

What are the bonus points?

When you purchase a lift pass, on a “hands free” smart card, you accumulate points. When you have collected 200 points, you receive a free one-day pass for the Portes du Soleil ski area. Points represent 10 % of your purchases. Bonus points can be accumulated over several years. The accumulation of points from several cards is not allowed. Bonus points cannot be exchanged for cash. Only cards having 200 points or more entitle holders to a free one-day Portes du Soleil pass.

Information about your bonus points and the withdrawal of your free “Portes du Soleil” pass are available online.

What is the difference between the Avoriaz and Portes du Soleil ski areas?

AVORIAZ:
45 Ski Lifts, 75km of ski runs (1 one out of 12 resorts in the Portes du Soleil area)
PORTES DU SOLEIL:
207 Ski Lifts, 650km of ski runs (12 resorts including Avoriaz, 2 Countries – France & Switzerland)

Is photo I.D. necessary?

No, you don’t need to send a photo for online purchases.

Can we buy Portes du Soleil passes for more than a seven-day period?

No, we do not offer this service online. For any ski pass longer than 7 days, you must get your ski pass from the ticket office

Can we buy insurance SnowRisk?
